Dr. Mariann Jordan is a leader for the people, changemaker, and seasoned strategist with over 25 years of experience leading transformative initiatives across the nonprofit, business, and human services sectors. She is the CEO and Principal Consultant of J & P Consulting Group LLC, where she empowers minority entrepreneurs, small business owners, and startups, especially in underserved and economically disadvantaged communities through strategic planning, compliance, and capacity-building services.
As a Core Investor and the Grant Management and Development Director of Vision & Legacy Capital Group, Dr. Jordan leads the firm’s fundraising and development strategies, identifying grant opportunities, cultivating funder relationships, and ensuring compliance and sustainability for long-term investment and community benefit.
Dr. Jordan is also the CEO of J & P National Youth Empowerment Network, NFP, a nonprofit committed to uplifting at-risk youth through mentorship, workforce readiness, and life skills training. Her relentless pursuit of equity is also reflected in her extensive pro bono work supporting returning citizens, veterans, and minority business owners.
In February 2025, she joined forces with Chief Dr. Quinton Tamba Taylor De’Alexander to launch The Business Incubator: A Hub for Economic Growth in Liberia—a bold initiative that will equip youth with entrepreneurial tools in agriculture, creative services, technology, and retail. This initiative, launched during Black History Month, is designed to foster generational transformation throughout Monrovia and beyond.
Her achievements have earned widespread recognition, including the 2024 Community Service Award from Charms, Inc., her selection as a Willie’s Warriors Leadership Fellow by the Chicago Foundation for Women, and her upcoming honor as a 2025 “We Dream in Color” Humanitarian Honoree. On June 19, 2025, she received the Black Girls Rock Award in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Jordan also serves as Vice Chair of the Illinois Small Business Development Centers Advisory Board, where she helps shape state-level policy and support for small businesses. She actively serves on several boards, including the NSBA Leadership Council, the CWEL Board for Illinois DCFS, and the South Holland Business Association.
A published author, Dr. Jordan’s book Finding Hubby Love & Companionship: A Woman’s Guide to Dating and Marriage After 50 empowers women with practical wisdom and heartfelt encouragement.
Holding a Master of Science in Human Services Administration, dual Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Christian counseling, and an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism, Dr. Mariann Jordan continues to lead with purpose, faith, and an unwavering commitment to building a legacy of equity, empowerment, and transformation.
